L&D's Wedding - Union Mills Public House

L&D had their March wedding at Union Mills Public House in Frederick, which was filled with thoughtful details and enjoyment! They were drawn to the industrial atmosphere and, despite residing in Seattle, Washington, they decided to tie the knot in Maryland as both of their families were local.

During our first discussion, we talked about the ambiance and aesthetic they wanted for their wedding day. They were adamant about having a disco theme! We decided to incorporate mauve, teal, and antiqued tones as the main colors, adding various textures through fabrics and pattern. SBD assisted L&D in completing their linen selections by sending out samples across the country to their home in Washington. Working together on choosing colors, bridesmaids' dresses, candle colors, and even the NAPKINS (you'll understand why) was a pleasant process. This was just a part of our enjoyable collaboration that contributed to crafting a truly unique day for them.

SBD met with the photographer and gave them a tour of the Frederick area, making sure that L&D's elegant wedding party photos could be actualized. After a fun afternoon and a conversation with them, it was decided they'd do their first look and wedding party photos at Citizens Ballroom! What a cool way to incorporate another epic space! It really added another level of elegance and personalization to their final gallery.

Of course, their Foxy girl was a part of their wedding day. Each table had a custom table number dedicated to the cutie pie. THEN, because it was such a hot topic with their friends and family, the couple decided to do a fun guessing game with them at the wedding - guess her breed! L&D revealed Foxy's doggie DNA during their wedding and whoever guested the closet breed combination won some money.

Details and fun don't end there, though. We also helped them and the DJ project the speech from a groomsman who couldn't attend. His speech was just one of four epic speeches from loved ones. A custom version of "L&D's Spotify Wrapped," another career-focused presentation from the sister of the bride, and a comedic and heartwarming speech from the maid of honor, were all hits with the guests.

The dance floor was full of disco - and the guests rocked out to lots of L&D's favorites including a dubstep version of Hava Nagila for the Horah.
